Anna Desai is a certified association executive with 15 years of nonprofit governance experience. She specializes in the areas of board governance, volunteer leadership development, and environmental scanning. Her work on healthcare trends have been published in the Journal of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She has presented at AHIMA and the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a previous Forty under 40 award recipient for her achievements as an association professional.

In 2020, Anna started @wouldyoulikesomethingtoeat as a passion project to connect, celebrate and champion Asian Americans in the food and beverage space, particularly in Chicago. The account focuses on storytelling and has expanded to include projects: Over the Moon – Chicago, Chocolate Collective, and the Petite Passport. Each project amplifies the makers, their work, and highlights their journey into food.

Anna holds a bachelor’s in health information management from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
