Tricia (she/her) is the Director of Operations for the ​Japanese American Service Committee (JASC). Tricia ​oversees the office’s day to day operations, ​administration, programs, planning, and evaluation of ​the organization. A Chinese-Filipino, Tricia grew up in ​Naperville, IL and graduated from Vanderbilt ​University, majoring in Human & Organizational ​Development with a track in Community Development. ​After graduating, she taught elementary school with ​the Teach for America Chicago corps and received her ​Master’s in Elementary Education. Her last year in the ​classroom was spent abroad, teaching English in ​South Korea with the Fulbright ETA program.

Before joining JASC, she was the Director of Operations ​for a charter school in the South Side of Chicago and ​the Executive Director for Volunteering Untapped ​Chicago. As Executive Director for Volunteering ​Untapped Chicago, she founded a grant program and ​increased volunteer engagement through fundraisers ​and social events.
