Tricia (she/her) is the Director of Operations for the Japanese American Service Committee (JASC). Tricia oversees the office’s day to day operations, administration, programs, planning, and evaluation of the organization. A Chinese-Filipino, Tricia grew up in Naperville, IL and graduated from Vanderbilt University, majoring in Human & Organizational Development with a track in Community Development. After graduating, she taught elementary school with the Teach for America Chicago corps and received her Master’s in Elementary Education. Her last year in the classroom was spent abroad, teaching English in South Korea with the Fulbright ETA program.
Before joining JASC, she was the Director of Operations for a charter school in the South Side of Chicago and the Executive Director for Volunteering Untapped Chicago. As Executive Director for Volunteering Untapped Chicago, she founded a grant program and increased volunteer engagement through fundraisers and social events.
